    Why?

Individual hard work is always needed for the students to gain a deeper understanding of the topic. This is also done to support self-regulation of learning and working. Flinga is also used to facilitate students active reading skills and to make the students’ reflection visible and shared. This can be either during school hours or as “homework”.

How?

During individual work students can open the groups Flinga-session and submits the results of their individual enquiries to the Flinga-wall and examine also the information fed by other members of the group. Perhaps give comments on others work and participates in possible discussions. Teacher can again present progressive feedback on the Flinga-wall.

Pro Tips!

This can go hand-in-hand with collaborative work.

At this point there are many subjects who are operating on the same Flinga-session. In addition to the color coding, it could be justified to restrict the participants’ possibility to modify the content created by other members of the group. The administrator of the group can do this from the settings.

Because it influences the group’s working dynamics by pushing it more towards spontaneous interaction and participation, it could be wise that the group would determinate beforehand some practices to frame the intense collaboration, for example they should have a chairman to keep ensure order and equality during the process and secretary to keep track of time and to measure the groups advancement.
